Q: What science ideas did you learn?

A: We learned many new science ideas this week in class. We learned how to properly view petri bacteria through a stereo scope and how to record what we see. We learned how to reserch bacteria and that all bacteria is not bad though most of the kinds we think of, are. We observed the growth of petri dishes through a virtual simulation. Also we learned how we can use online periodicals to aid us in our research. As you can see there are many science ideas we learned this week in class.

Q: How did you learn these ideas?

A: We learned these science ideas in so many different ways. One way was a group disscusion on whether we believe bacteria is mostly harmful or helpful. Also Mr. Finley would give "lectures" on how to classify bacteria in the correct order. We also learned science ideas through homework resesrch at home. At school we made observations and looked up what we found. As you can see there are many ways we learned these science ideas this week.

Q: Why is it important to know this idea(What real world aplication is there)?

A: There are many real world aplications to what we learned in science class this week. If docters or scientists were needed to identify a strain of bacteria causing sickness they would need to study petri dishes for more hints on what it is. Also knowing how to research bacteria helps if you need to recognize bacterial structure. Using simulations to gauge real world things can help in countless positions like flight simulations or combat simulations. Also reading periodicals is beneficial to anyone wanting to know more about there world. As you can see there are many real world aplications to what we do in science.
